As far as USB hubs go, the only ones I've ever used are the ones that have come with Rock Band. If my USB slots are ever full, I usually just switch the different articles out. On your question of which ones work better, the general rule of Wii accessories is that the official Nintendo accessories work better than the generic ones. Nintendo accessories are always guaranteed to work, and have a longer life. Also, I would recommend getting a self-powered hub.
