do you find that the wiiware games are a bit short in how much game play they have. i know there`s a limit on the amount of data for each game, but i wouldn`t mind seeing a few more wiiware games with a bit more life to them. i suppose the only way that could be acheived is if developers went with a more of a snes or N64 look with their games.
what do you guys think? let me know your opinions.
They're about as long as they can be, with the small file size limits Nintendo imposes (which are necessary because of the Wii's small internal storage space).
Some of them still last awhile, though. World of Goo comes to mind.
not so much shovelware, but what kind of genre the game falls under. Like said earlier, the games have a limit towards space it can hold, so adventure games may not last quite that long. On the other hand, a puzzle game may have unlimited replay towards the thing.
^^^ hmm, really. you bought that c**ppy game did you?
well, so far, world of goo is taking up a fair bit of my time. it`s one of the more expensive wiiware games, but well worth it.
but i still think most producers should put a bit more effort into their wiiware games, as most are turning out some terrible peices od shovel at the moment.
Wiiware games are meant to brief jaunts in gaming.
No more no less.
On Nintendo' next console they will be much more but for now the only thing that should improve is quality.
defend your castle is just pointless once u have 901 archers. i'd let it play while i play my DS just to c how far i can get but i dont have a DS... and Gyrostarr really is crap. it shows a 3rd number slot for the levels but it only goes up to 50 =( and its the same thing every level. but it is suposed to b like an arcade game so i guess its fine. i really hope they make the pokemon more interactable with the platinum update for ranch tho. its just a screensaver with scrolling.
I have bought a few that I beat in like an hour. So now, I try to stick with the online enabled ones or ones like Tetris/Dr Mario that have an 'endless' type play to them. I need to get the classic controllers so I can go bankrupt in the virtual console, lol
The Bit-Trip series of games are great! Simple 8-bit graphics/sound, good retro soundtrack, addicting gameplay! They're not the biggest games, but they pack a punch. There are 4 of these games available, check them out!
Being too short can be seen as a good thing when you have too many games and not enough time to play them all, let alone finish. World of Goo, Bit.Trip Runner, Castlevania Rebirth and Cave Story are pretty good; I'm tempted to get Sonic the Hedgehog 4, but the price is pretty steep at 1500 points and I haven't had time to look at any reviews to see if it's worth it.
Yeah, just saw a couple reviews on Sonic 4. Looks great! I'm a Sonic fan & this game is gonna take me back! If Final Fantasy M.Q. didn't come out, then THAT would have been the game I bought(I have the rest of the available FF games on the Shop Channel...had to get it!).

It really depends on what game you buy, as long as its not shovelware

The only WiiWare that is too short is Family Table Tennis.
