Hey guys, just started the Club Nintendo program! The place where purchasing games DOES have some incentive! Anyone else using Club Nintendo? Any good stories?
i have these from the UK club
SNES classic controller
mario kart cap
animal crossing cap
metroid prime replacement face plate for the gamecube
abd two super famicom controllers imported through play asia.com
^Nice! I've received a few items myself:
Mushroom Tote
Wii Fit Tote
Mario Hand Towel(workin' on the set)
Mario Poster Set
Game: Grill-Off w/ Ultra Hand
can you guys link your dsi and wii shop accounts to your club nintendo account?
we can do it on the uk site, and it register our downloads. and we get extra points for filling in the questionaires that come with each download.
^Yes! I wish I would have been doing this(Club Nintendo) last year. I have sooooo many downloads for Wii Shop, I probably would have gotten "Elite" status on them alone!
that must have been annoying when you found that one out..
remember to keep doing the questionaires though. they are so time consuming to do if you get a whole bunch left over.
i spent a good couple of hours doing mine, simply because i had forgotten about them (and the wii browser sucks for being slow too). good thing was, they helped boost up my points count, and i just barely scraped enough for the snes style wii controller (that needs to be on the US club A.S.A.P), it`s not fair you don`t have that yet).
i had a quick look on the US club nintendo site, and it looks way more presentable than the UK site. i would love to get the mario pins and mushroom tote baag, they look pretty cool.
^So I checked out the UK site, nice! That Super Famicom controller is sweet, so are a few other items. I liked that "?" Block plush. So later on I went on Ebay to see if I could pick one of those controllers up....PRICEY!!!
well, if you think about it. you would need to buy a wii, a ds, a bundle of nintendo in house games for each, and you might just about scrape enough points to get the snes classic controller.
you could also spend the equivalent of 2 - 3 games and buy one from ebay.
although tne $80 plus price tag may be high, but it`s worth it if you don`t want to buy a load of games just for the codes. especially if they`re not games you would want to play.
Yeah, I don't like that they only give you 2 years expiration date on your points/coins. If you've acquired the game, the points should be on there with no expiration. There are some gamers that don't have much of a budget to work with. They should be able to pool those points without worrying about an expiration.
Some things I got with my Club Nintendo account:
Mario Hat
DS Case
Mario and Gang Figurine
Two Wii Remote Holders (one for my neighbour)
Wii/ ds game rack with mariohat bookends
mario screensaver
crappy wiiware game about cooking with an old toy they made up
^Good call T&A!
The Elite Status prizes are available at the end of this month....I wonder what Nintendo will be handing out. I hope they put out some of the last year prizes for additional handouts!
I wonder how many people accually use the Club Nintendo program. Almost everyone I know locally could care less about it! I mean, come on! There's nothing wrong with "FREE" things.

It's unfortunate that the 3DS power adapter is enormous and doesn't really fit without cramming it in considering the battery life is so poor.

In other words:
...lame.
I was hoping for better gifts like the ones they had last year.

Now Club Nintendo is doing Wii & 3DS games for coins! This is something they should have been doing a while ago. :D
