I have it, and it's useful for times when you don't want to lug a laptop with you. I would only recommend it if you go somewhere without computers, but internet access often. Like schools, universities, coffee shops, hotels etc. That way you don't have to mess with the connection settings every use.
For example when I'm on campus, and I want to check my e-mail, read some news, or read weblogs I can use the DS instead of the public library computers (they are just as slow, and they are very dirty). I don't turn on the pictures, and it works pretty well. Almost as fast as most cell phones, but I'm sure you all know by now that it doesn't support Java, or Flash. It really depends on what you need it for.
For most people I would agree that the DS browser wouldn't be useful, but in special circumstances it is pretty nice to have. It in no way replaces a laptop, but it's cheaper than buying a smartphone, definitely cheaper than an iPhone.
The PSP browser is ten thousand times better than the DS Browser.
It got Tab Browsing and . . . well, I forgot the rest, but from all the portable browser's I've used: (PALM, DS, PSP, phones, etc)PSP is definitely one of the best.

nah, my dad got one and he took it back the first day for many reasons...
1.) it's way to hard to figure out the wifi setup...everyone complains about that.
2.) It cant upload pictures on the internet browser. (that pist him off the most)
3.) It gets so damn hot, you can hold the thing...seriesly I tried calling my brother on it and my hand got all sweaty.
But I guess it would be good for email and music and all..
and hell, whip that puppy out and your instantly cool! ...untill you burn your hand off..
but for the basics...like good internet.
it doesnt have it.
As for the DS browser, I dont know..but ADAM got it, ask him about.
