Has anyone gotten this game yet? This Pokemon section seems dead, whatever.
But I picked up white the other day and am really enjoying the new designs of the pokemon, and am trying to think of how they'll be placed competitively. Currently on the sixth gym and loving it and the graphics are much better and are truly great for a handheld.
Anyway! I went into this game with no knowledge of anything about it, and maybe that's why I'm about to say this. But this may be my 2nd favorite Pokemon generation (behind GSC)! If that's the case, then RSE would have to be a close 3rd, but that generation brings back so many memories of my childhood. So this 5th generation has to be PRETTY good, I'd say. Pretty DARN good. I'm not complaining that there aren't any of the past Pokemon (as far as I know) before the Elite Four available to you. I'm not complaining that the plot is more than "I wanna be the very best." Really, I can't think of any flaws this game has. Convenient pause system (you can bleepin' register more than one key item!), cool battle scenes, nice level design... wow. Actually, scratch that. I do have a complaint about this game. Once I start playing, I can't put it down when I have a lot of schoolwork to do, which can get really annoying, haha!
Right now I'm up to the Elite Four, and I'm thinking nothing can stop my Ferrothorn. GET 'IM BOY.
Ya, its a very good game, but i dont know if it'll pass G/S/C because those were just brilliant. Just destroyed the flying gym with my Zebrastrikes Discharge - Didn't get touched. Although I think I'm overleveled, her highest level was 35? or 34, and all mine are 40 O__o haha, i started with oshawott, and it is now the monster that is Samurott. Once I get my wifi to work, I have to trade you my Gurdurr and have you trade it back so it can evolve. So I'll get on that.

So I fiddle around with my connection settings for like an hour, finally get past this dumb connection sharing error, install everything properly, test the connection, get full bars for 5 seconds then one second of no bars (while right next to the connector) and it doesnt work. God dangit.
EDIT: After about 15 more minutes of fiddling, it is a..... SUCCESS! Drop your FC Yosh

I got White. Beat the Elite. Got the National Dex. Currently hunting down the legendaries. Can't import from my Pearl as it is a US copy and my White is Europe - so doing it the HARD way to complete the dex. Grinding, trading, breeding. Currently 146 on the Unova and 250 on the National.
Open to trades of all kinds. Want the starters?... I got 'em to give. And the fossils?... and zouara?...etc. Yes! Yes! Yes! PM me if you want to trade. I'm looking for Vullaby / Mandibuzz from Black and loads of older critters from Red, Blue, Gold, Silver, Ruby, Sapphire, Pearl, etc. etc.
Ps. Waffle - why not trade Gurdurr for Gurdurr? Then both get to evolve and level up quicker? Also there's a clever trade with Shelmet for Karrablast...
Haha, I like my gurdurr though, sentimental value ya know? And I Stupidly sold my copy of pearly so I won't be getting the national dex complete the easy way either! haha, and you have extras of the starters/legendaries? :) I'm always open for trades of free starters and legendaries :p
