What country do you live in, and if applicable, what state?
I live in Puerto Rico, a very creative island. Especially music wise.
How do you choose what Miis you're going to make? Do you have a process?
Kind of. I don't have a Mii-creating time assigned to my day, I create Miis whenever an idea pops into mind. Like Grant Wood once said: "All the really good ideas I ever had came to me while I was milking a cow." Once the creative idea comes to mind I do a rough Mii to see if the character can be done, then I check MiiPlaza.net to see if someone else has already submitted that character. Primarily because I don't want to submit a Mii someone else has already submitted, it lacks originality. I want my Mii to be original, to be unique. If the character has already been submitted, either I'll discard the idea or if I see that the Mii doesn't define the character or if it doesn't resemble what I have in mind, then I continue the making of the Mii. Once the essence of the character has been implanted on the Mii, I look at pictures to define the details. I also look for opinions of others as to know how recognizable is the Mii.
Which Mii do you feel is your best so far?
I would have to say Chicken Little. Especially because it's a very simple one. I really like my Charlie Brown and my ET. I like the simple-looking ones. I think that the Miis are a simple representation of the original character. That's why I always look to make a Mii as simple as possible, without altering it recognizability. That's the beauty of the Mii Channel, it incredible how precise one can be in capturing a character with such limited options.
What one (and only one) Mii piece would you add to the Mii Channel if you could?
I really don't know, maybe ears, more colors. But I like the challenge of making Miis with the tools provided. Anything Nintendo adds, if they ever do, is fine.
Do you do any sort of art by trade? What other creative outlets do you pursue apart from the Mii Channel?
Yes. I have always drawn since I was a little kid. I still have stacks of notebooks filled with drawings and comic strips I used to do. I also used to paint in acrylic, I don't anymore. Right now, I work, and study, as a graphic designer. I'm also pursuing videography, I already have my HD camera :D.
What's your favorite experience with the Wii so far?
The first time I turned on the Wii, It felt like a completely new gaming experience, I knew I hadn't wasted my money. The first game I played was Wii Sports, it was really good. There's this friend, Jerry, that still can't beat me at boxing :D.
What game do you feel is missing from the Wii line-up most right now, given the Wii's unique control mechanic?
I really don't know, I don't play that much. But I think the next Metroid Prime would be great, there's this friend that is irritating me with his "oh so mighty" Halo, I would love to rub that game in his face XD.
I'm also looking out for the next Super Smash Brothers, I still play the Gamecube one, I'm invincible by the way :P. It's just a game that never dies.
Any additional props, plugs or comments?
Congratulations on your site, it's a great site, with a good perspective and ideas. It's just funny how many of us come up with the same ideas, I remember when I was going to submit my first Miis, how most of them had already been submitted by others. It's a very fun site and I hope you keep up the good work.
