What country do you live in, and if applicable, what state?
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
How do you choose what Miis you're going to make? Do you have a process?
Most of my Miis are made based on characters from universes that I like â from games, movies, comics, cartoons etc. Usually, the idea for creating a new Mii comes either from playing a game, watching a TV Show, reading magazines... when I see something or someone that could work well as a Mii I try to recreate it on the Mii Channel. Sometimes it works, but sometimes it doesn't, which is frustrating :-)
But there are also times when I'm just fooling around with the tools in the channel, with absolutely no idea of what to create. Sometimes I have good results... my Mii Sword, for example, was created by accident. I was actually trying to create the shape of a rupy, from the Zelda universe.
Currently I have more than 100 Miis in the Check Mii Out Channel... and I don't intend to stop posting them :-D
Which Mii do you feel is your best so far?
It's so hard to pick just one Mii...
But I'd have to say that my favorite is the King Leonidas. I like him because he's a case of love or hate I guess... there are people who gets the Mii and people who doesn't. I believe that's why it's only 2,5 starts in Check Mii Out, which means it's not very popular :-)
But I don't mind, I think it's innovative and I'm very proud of it.
What one (and only one) Mii piece would you add to the Mii Channel if you could?
I wish we could have total freedom to rotate and zoom objects such as eyebrowses, eyes and mounths. That would really expand the potential of the creation tool.
Do you do any sort of art by trade? What other creative outlets do you pursue apart from the Mii Channel?
Yes. I've been working with graphic design for the past 12 years, creating multimedia content, websites, illustrations etc.
Currently I'm focused on software interface design, creating user interfaces for digital TV application, mobiles and PCs. I really love my job. ;-)
What's your favorite experience with the Wii so far?
Oh... Super Mario Galaxy! No competition.
It's the best, most immersive and funniest game I've ever played.
I have played that game during the past weeks with my 11 year old nephew, trying to collect all the 120 stars - it's been a blast of fun.
What game do you feel is missing from the Wii line-up most right now, given the Wii's unique control mechanic?
I'd like to see more games that explore the Wii x DS connection.
We had great - but few - games that used the Gamecube x Gameboy connection at that time (Four Swords, PacMan Vs.).
It's so obvious to see the missed potential here. We could even have an accessory to hold the DS and wiimote together to improve the gameplay. Stylus + wiimote control = WOW factor. :-)
Any additional props, plugs or comments?
Thanks a lot for the warm welcome to this amazing community of artists. It's been so much fun to see all the comments for my Miis here at MiiPlaza.
I really hope that people will keep enjoying my Miis. More to come soon! ;-)
