Does anyone play this? I've been posting my best drawings in the "Images" section, and on Tocci's new web site somethingdrawn.com.
You can play a timed/multiplayer version over at omgpop.com which can be pretty fun, as well. I'm not usually one to play web games but I've played it more than once.
If you upload them to the images section we can rate them and they'll likely appear on the front page. When I get some spare time I'll add this and "Draw Something" to the games database so a game can be attached to them.
So about two or three days ago the database server basically went AWOL, created about 50gb of junk data to fill up the drive, and resultantly corrupted a lot of data.
Thankfully after much hair-pulling and brief periods of cardiac arrest, Jose (yours truly) was able to revert the data that was corrupted to a backup from the 19th of March. Most of the data like uploads and users and all the important stuff was retained right up until the site was taken offline, the only thing that you may notice is that if you earned a badge just before-hand, you may need to earn it again.
I'll be using this coming weekend to setup a true mirror of the database so that if the database does have issues in the future, the site will switch to the backup, instead of having the site go down while under repair.
Even though updates have been slow-coming lately, I would like to remind everyone that GamerCreated.com will not up and leave you because of some pesky technical issue, and I am committed to future endeavors with the site when possible!
Thanks for the understanding, if anyone notices anything amiss, please contact me about it as soon as possible!

If the winners could contact me I'll see what I can do about setting you up with the rewards. I meant to distribute Wii Points but that plan fell through.
Since this was more about community spirit and 'thanks' for years of loyal Mii-critiquing, and one user has already requested it, if you'd like your reward to go to someone else I will oblige.
I'll make a more official announcement on the home page soon.
I've been playing this recently with a friend, and I retract my "better than Mario Kart" vote. The controls are just not as tight as a Mario Kart game, and it's frustrating sometimes.
That said, I downloaded your tracks Eben... my response: "What..!?" ;)
Anyone have any idea how to do this? I was mistakenly under the impression that there were Wii Points Cards smaller than 2000 points, which is a bit much and have been looking for an alternative since.
Slightly different approach to the "of the Year" polls.
I'll personally vote for the PS3. Most of the games I played this year were PS/Xbox cross-platform games, but I feel Sony's focus on 3D is slightly more gamer-oriented than Microsoft's fascination with motion controls and soccer moms... Even if Sony did have their network hacked and taken down for a month. Even if they lost some of their best game producers and implemented the Online Pass into their games. Even if I'm still playing cross-platform games on my Xbox... What can I say? Ico HD and Uncharted 3 swayed my vote.
That said, there's 3D Mario games, a new Zelda game, lots of PC exclusives, and the popularity of iProducts and Android continues to explode. You can only pick one, though, what do you guys think?

I finally picked this game up and played it for a bit. I'll likely pick this up now and then for some quick races... I like that I can click the online button and find people on my friend list.
So I went looking for a "2012" Mii for the news article and wasn't too surprised that there were none. I was surprised, however, that there was no generic "Mayan" Mii.
Also, if that's not a good suggestion I've tried a few times to make Jeremy Clarkson (the guy from Top Gear UK) and wasn't too keen on the result, so there's another suggestion.
It's worth noting that you can do post-play surveys for the Club nintendo program for all of these games, earning 10 coins a pop, and essentially earning you another free game.
I've been playing Skyrim. It's no Dark Souls, and it's extremely glitchy, but it's going to keep me busy for a real long time since I've been milking it for all it's worth. I need to get Mario Kart on 3DS...
Hey guys, today (or well, somewhere between today and the 15th) is the 5th anniversary of MiiPlaza.net!
I'm going to be giving the top five contributors for this month (December) some Wii Points (or something along those lines) to celebrate. Check the news.
...
Also, an interesting aside.. http://miiplaza.com - our friends at Nintendo have finally put this domain to use and it no longer links here! But miiplaza.net still does. Shhh! ;)
I actually am interested but the thought of waving the Wiimote around to play gives me pain in my wrist just thinking about it. I have a bad right wrist, so games that require "waggling" are tedious for me.
I would have bought it day-one if it had classic controller support.
@Josean - I looked at a list of 3D movies on Wikipedia and was disappointed to find only ~10% were actually shot with 3D cameras. I was even more disappointed to have zero interest in any of them. I saw "Up" in 3D in the theaters and, while I was particularly impressed with the hundreds of balloons, I had to remove the glasses after 45 minutes because it just didn't seem necessary during the story segments... So I share the criticisms most do.
Has anyone been to Disney/Universal in Florida to see the Muppets 4D (or The Terminator, et. al.)? Really great use of 3D, often coupled with animatronics and other gags.
I also fantasize about The Matrix or Inception in 3D, but the guy who made Inception said he didn't use 3D because he thought it would detract... so who knows. There must be some good applications for film? It's certainly an amazing addition to a gamer's arsenal, seeing as how you can turn it on and off at your leisure.
Then there's stuff like this... When this is full-color, high-resolution, and affordable, it's definitely going to change things.
Blurring the line between Active Shutter (glasses), passive, and glasses-free 3D here. Let's ditch the glasses argument completely and just focus on the stereoscopy and how it's been used in the last 5 years or so in media.
I recently decided my 6-year-old LCD was starting to look a bit weak and decided to upgrade to 3D. I've played Uncharted and a few others now in 3D, and watched some movies. I've always been fascinated by stereoscopic 3D and had a stash of those cardboard glasses when I was younger, so I'm quite pleased with my new TV and my 3DS even if there's very little content for either. I do get a mild strain on my eyes while watching for extended periods. I also realize it might be quite lackluster to many and not worth the price of admission, but as I read things around the internet I get this sad sense that some people go so far as to hate it or see it as some sort of money grab. It seems it's hip to hate 3D in some circles, but I know it's been around since cameras were invented and it's not going anywhere. Still, this is the single biggest push for 3D I've seen in my lifetime, and there's more 3D content than ever before, and if it doesn't prove profitable we may see a sharp decline in 3D content, which I think would be unfortunate.
So what do you all think of 3D? Do any of you have a 3D TV? Do you see movies or play games in 3D? What do you think?
In response to Dark Souls on

I'm now playing Skyrim (which is also a great game), and I've played Uncharted 3 and the rest, and I'm going to go ahead and brand Dark Souls as my personal 'Game of the Year,' maybe "Game of Many Years." It's not exactly perfect in every way but I can't help but revel in how awesome it was while playing other games.
The game isn't as hard as it's made out to be; frustrating, perhaps, requiring more dexterity and wit than agility or speed, so don't let that turn you off. It does have a very dark atmosphere that may deter some people. It's akin to Zelda or other action-oriented RPGs, so if you can handle the dark fantasy aspect and can handle the 60 hour time requirement, it really is fantastic.
I think Cryo is right, actually. I belabored the idea of deliberately steering away from Miis given the roots of the site and the comments of past regulars. In August the fate of the 3DS was still very much in the air, and I'm still not sure what to make of it's prospects.
But things have certainly changed, and the popularity of the BF3-styled pic is evidence that the site really is frequented by gamers and not just Mii/Blast Works -minded people. I have renewed confidence in changing the course of this cruise ship, as the metaphor goes.
I thought I mentioned that the major development had to do with hosting, or in other words, the servers that the site is on. For a long time the servers were an expense since the ad revenue had deflated, and it made it harder to appropriate time to the site when the budget was eaten by hosting costs. So that's a big deal. Since that development I've finally been able to pick off bugs like the login bug and the game database bug.
Other things have changed, too. Microsoft Internet Explorer usage has dropped considerably, and a whopping 95% or so of our visitors are using what I would call "modern" browsers. That basically means I can ditch a lot of code and the old "theme," among other things. Things are just changing rapidly, so I'm taking precautions.
I can assure you the ship is not stranded, the anchor is just down while the captain tries to make sense of the map.
As far as I'm concerned: Xbox: Dark Souls, Skyrim, Forza 4; PS3: Uncharted 3, Demon's Souls, ICO/SotC; 3DS: Mario Kart
I finished Dark Souls and I'm almost finished with Uncharted, so this list is so far going according to plan. I'll be curious to read about Mario 3DS, and I'm tempted to try that new Batman game, I might give it a go if I have some spare free time.
Well, about two weeks ago I worked out a long-time issue regarding the hosting of the site. It's actually a very significant event, but there's still the matter of fixing some bugs... the login bug is currently under investigation, then the long-standing bug regarding the 'plus' character is high on my list. The PS3 trophies are also on my mind. Then what?
I'm trying to figure out what to do. 3DS not selling well didn't fair too well for the Mii side of things, so I've got a lot to consider. It's pretty obvious that I need to change the direction of the site, but in what direction at the moment is not entirely clear to me.
There's still many visitors daily, in fact, more than usual in the last few months, almost double on some days! But what are they doing? You know this image has had 318 views in the last week alone?
Bizarre, I know. Maybe the answer is right in front of me.
I'll be getting this; but I'm taking the trailer with a grain of salt, there's a lot of animations and cool things going on in the intro to GTA4 that don't happen in the game itself.
They're fresh off Red Dead Redemption, though, and that was amazing...

This game is amazing. I pre-ordered it on a hunch and fell in love. I'd say it's definitely my favorite game of the last few years, I couldn't put it down!
If you have any interest in this game at all, be sure to at least give it a try.

The problem with Eben's page was the PSN widget, which is currently broken and can not be updated, but at least it no longer breaks pages.
I may have found a new solution for PSN trophies but it will take some time to implement and test. There is no official solution.
Edit:
Quote King Galaxy: Also, this thread ("New Bugs") is actually in the section "Help". Where, however, is that section "Help" actually? If you go to 'Community' and then to 'Forums', I don't see it at all.

Ok, so, one of the hard drives had hit capacity. I have no idea how, but I deleted 20 GB of stuff so that ought to keep things working for quite some time.
I didn't think anything was wrong with a million Zelda 3DS sales but obviously Nintendo isn't confident about it. My guess is that no third parties are making 3DS games for this fall and Nintendo is worried Starfox won't sell it alone.
Would they actually cancel games announced at E3 and dump the system if it didn't sell this holiday? Has Nintendo officially lost the handheld market they've had for almost 3 decades by greedy overpricing? And what does the "casual" Wii stigma combined with a really bad performance in Nintendo's strongest market foretell for the Wii U launch next year? Are consumers even paying attention to Nintendo anymore?
The answer is yes, in fact, I would have the main menu options be a bit dynamic, perhaps changing with trends.
As for celery's paintings, I would need to create some more categories... the category those are in contains a lot of rubbish that doesn't even belong. The mods and I have done some cleaning over time but it's still madness.
I do need to focus on some lingering bugs, and then I'll just go ahead and make the change. It will probably be some time in August that I'm able to really focus on it.

You said beer, not malt liquor. ;)
I gotta give it to the UK, they make most of my favorites... but for standard lagers and reds nothing beats locally-brewed, fresh beer. Always support your local breweries. :)
In the footer there's a new Google button called (plus)1... [ I can't type a plus sign in the forums just yet... :( ]
If you click it (and you're signed into your google account) you'll be basically "Like"-ing it like on Facebook, and you'll help improve our search engine rankings!
I think it works on a page-by-page basis, which is unfortunate. I guess the best course of action would be to click it from the Mii section or the home page. I'm not entirely sure. :)
There's been a lot of resistance to grow beyond Miis over time.. it's the main attraction, it's natural, but it is what it is. If I push Miis into a general "Creations" category, for example, and start pushing the idea that this is a general gallery/sharing site, people might get upset or start comparing it to Flickr. I've wanted to move beyond Miis for a long time, but there hasn't been much to grab onto.
Technically, there's thousands of image categories when you include the ability to attach a game title. It's not really built into the UI for the site since the feature is underutilized. I'll always be paying attention and adding things as they're needed; but until, say, there's 60 ModNation and Forza uploads, I can't really justify making a menu that shows game titles with 50 uploads (since there'd be no games in the menu). I'm working hard on the Forza section! :)
Losing the old URL had a big effect, all the Google/search traffic (where most traffic comes from) went to Tocci's site. since it's not coming back the only way for this site to regain some momentum is if people embrace the idea of creating things in games and uploading them here. I uploaded my Forza photos and shared them on some other sites but it will take a lot more than my Forza photos to attract the attention needed for people to embrace the site in large numbers again.
I've been quite busy since the last round of gangbuster updates, but when I have some time I'd like to implement Windows Live ID and Facebook login to the site to encourage new user registration on top of the other things on the to-do list. The most important thing to do for the site, though, is find a cheaper hosting solution and optimize the server-end to be more portable to get the site's economic balance back.
There's also a bug with certain JPEGs, I think it's a problem with the actual library build on the server... it would be difficult to repair without taking the site offline for a while.
