Right after I started making mii's I had what I believed at the time to be a great idea for a canvas mii so I made my Bender who is now 5 stars and got there in two days. But back then he languished all day with no stars. Filing him away for another time I went on making mii's and decided to re post him a few weeks ago and he immediately got stars and shot up the page.

In KZ's defense, he may have watched the Clone Wars episode where Dooku got kidnapped by the pirates and needed to be saved by Luke and Obi wan. That's the one where he was cloaked most of the episode. I posted mine a day or two after I saw the episode and I noticed KZ's afterwards but he may have watched the same episode and posted even before I did and I simply didn't notice until his Dooku popped up in KZ's random batch of 50.
So anything's possible and I never meant to imply KZ copied me, I just thought I got inspired to make the hooded dooku first and saw his after and thought maybe he got the idea from me.
If so, I'm flattered. If not, I'm glad I had the same idea as he did.
I was as surprised as anyone, but I'm not complaining. I saw it as a huge complement that they liked my idea enough to use it in their own designs.
My Et had 5 stars at the time and Roxxi's had just been posted that day and had 3. As for Dooku no one had made a cloaked Dooku till I did and KZ is the only other I've seen. But like I said he made the design his own. But I'm pretty sure he saw my Dooku and ran with it.
Yea Toon I was thinking about that also with regards to the top 50 being able to check a second page to show the top 100 and see who's close to the top 50 etc. Add a little extra excitement.
Celery I'll leave that to you since you care. I have no quarrel with anyone copying. Matter of fact I've had my ideas copied by a few of your fav mii artists. Namely my ET by Roxxi and my Hooded Count Dooku by King Zombie. Of course KZ being the master artisan that he is changed it up to make it his own but the hood was my idea first. =P

In order to contact Ninty i went to their main website, clicked contact and went down to the bottom and used their 1800 line. We discussed the problem and they took notes and escalated it up the chain to the person in charge of policing the channel.
As far as getting banned permanently, that isn't my call. That was Ninty's, I didn't lobby for it. They agreed with me that it was unacceptable and volunteered the permanent banning. Which at the time I think I said it was too severe, because I know the joy that the channel brings me and didn't necessarily want to have that taken away from them, but in the end it's Ninty's decision which I agree more with than allowing the kid to continue posting garbage.
As far as the dead Obama mii's, I'm personally disgusted by them and will continue turning in each and every one that I see.
As I told Ninty, it's only a matter of time before a newspaper or news station gets wind of these offensive mii's and does a story on them. Which isn't the type of publicity a family oriented company like Ninty is looking for.
Hmm, I'm pretty sure it wasn't an Obama supporter who made the mii. Doesn't seem like a huge stretch to connect the dots and figure the guy who made the assassinated Obama didn't vote for or support him or his agenda. Hence the assassinated characature of him.
More to the point it is never ok to talk, write or draw about killing your president. If you do you deserve to be dealt with.
I've never reported anything game related until I saw my president assassinated in mii form. Which is NOT ok. If you think it's ok then that makes me wonder about you and your patriotism. Fact is that it's not ok to assassinate the president period. It offended me and I did something about it. I'll continue reporting ever single one I see and making sure Ninty does something about it. That also goes for the Sex mii's which are really getting on my nerves. Basically if it's offensive to me I'm reporting it.
Interesting how there's no assassinated George Bush or Dick Chenyney mii's. Because liberals like to change things with their vote and Republicans tend to like using guns to solve their problems. And with all the dumb kids out there the last thing I want them to think is ok is toying with the idea of assassinating the president.
Thanks! I finally went with VivaObama! since I couldn't decide on anything until I started seeing 5 star dead Obama mii's, eye's x'd out with a bullet hole through the head. So to fight back I went with VivaObama! Which I figured would get more exposure being in the top 10.
Ps, I also reported all the dead Obama mii's to Nintendo so the creators got banned and can't ever post another mii in the channel.
Here's a sample of my stuff. I'll be systematically replacing everything that I feel bad about for being too close to a copy. Namely things like Maggie Simpson, Indiana Jones and anything else that pops up that I know I intentionally used more than I should have just to get some stars... lame I know. No excuses other than I was smoking a little too much weed and got into a creative rut about the time I started moving up the ranks. I'll do my best to make either originals or borrow minimally.

I noticed last night that my big bird mii got copied by someone from an Asian culture by the looks of his name. I was shocked but ultimately flattered that out of all the big birds he chose mine to copy.
I also noticed Roxii did an exact copy of my ET using the pig tail hair. Which I admit I got the idea from someone else but didn't copy them. Just saw the potential in using that hair style as a base for the character. Everything else I did on that ET was my own. Best part was seeing his ET was only 2 stars while mine is in my top 4 which means he's up there pretty high. My number one is Elmo on the top 50.
Of course I wasn't the first to make Elmo and got the idea from someone else but I feel i perfected him by altering the mouth so you cannot see any holes. Since then I've seen several other elmo's emulate my elmo's mouth. But luckly for me my Elmo's been kickin ass so it'll be tough for the copy's to catch up.
I posted a few minutes ago on Bobby's thread because i felt bad for copying his Mona Lisa Canvas idea. Now I'm looking in here and see that many of you are copying other ideas also. The Joker that Kaleb is famous for jumped out at me as an obvious one unless Kaleb is a copy cat?!?
So is it ok to make the same character with "some" of the same features but changing things slightly and calling it your "original"? Just trying to figure out what you guys feel is ok an what isn't.
Bobby, I'm sorry for copying your Mona Lisa canvas and will change it to something else in the mii channel and resubmit it as something else.
I'll admit I got greedy moving up the charts and saw mona as an easy score. You might find it a little humorous that I didn't get 5 stars on mine... probably because it's already been copied to death.
Anyway, sorry i did it and I'll be trying harder to make originals or at the very least make my version of the popular mii as different as I can.
