Game System of the Year (23 Votes)
Microsoft Xbox 360 (2 Votes, 9%)
Nintendo Wii (4 Votes, 17%)
Nintendo 3DS (11 Votes, 48%)
PC (1 Votes, 4%)
Smartphone / iPad (0 Votes, 0%)
Sony PlayStation 3 (5 Votes, 22%)
Sony Vita (0 Votes, 0%)
Slightly different approach to the "of the Year" polls.
I'll personally vote for the PS3. Most of the games I played this year were PS/Xbox cross-platform games, but I feel Sony's focus on 3D is slightly more gamer-oriented than Microsoft's fascination with motion controls and soccer moms... Even if Sony did have their network hacked and taken down for a month. Even if they lost some of their best game producers and implemented the Online Pass into their games. Even if I'm still playing cross-platform games on my Xbox... What can I say? Ico HD and Uncharted 3 swayed my vote.
That said, there's 3D Mario games, a new Zelda game, lots of PC exclusives, and the popularity of iProducts and Android continues to explode. You can only pick one, though, what do you guys think?
I have never seen a system turn itself around better than the 3DS has. It had a rocky start but system improvements, a great digital store and online presence, and great games not to mention all the free software Nintendo gave us and the Ambassador program made me proud to be a 3DS owner. Things will only get better for it in 2012! Cheers!
Haven't played ps vita or 3Ds so couldn't really judge them but ps3 my pic since i hate my xbox. pc gaming is to complicated and smartphones are fun for on the go or lying in bed but i wouldn't put them in league with consoles

I sort of agree with Jose. Many of my firends on my Xbox live list have noticed that I've not been on much at all. In fact I've been glued to my PS3. Surprising concidering I have such a love hate relationship towards the PS3. If it wasn't for some of the excellent exclusives it would be collecting dust as eveything else cross platform (or exclusive to Xbox), I play is on my Xbox. Ico HD remake & Little Big Planet 2 has kept me busy.

I'm not that keen on the 3D aspect - but the system I've used FAR more than any other is the 3DS. Great games and really fantastic for mii-making :)
